It begans with a little boy named Simon, founder of Crabkids.

A Shoemaker

His grandfather was a shoemaker, started making shoes in 1986. The shoes were made by hand since machine and technology had not fully developed.

The First School Shoes

When Simon was 7 years old, on the first day of primary school, his grandfather gave him a little pair of hand-made black leather shoes. It became very popular that all the people around them, including other parents and children were surprised and keen of the pretty tiny shoes.

Being Professional

Grandfather then began specializing in the field of student back to school shoes. At first, Grandfather made shoes with a few partners in a small workshop. By that time, they just accept OEM orders from other brands. Gradually, as getting much accumulated, the technique became mature and the business scale increased.

Sprit of Craftmanship

During that period, Simon frequently visited workshop. His grandfather often shared about the joy of shoemaking. Simon was impressed by the spirit of craftsmanship from his grandfather. He was enlightened. Eventually he developed a strong interest in shoes industry .

Crabkids was officially launched in mid 2022. The pronunciation of ‘Crab’ in Chinese is the same with ‘Shoes’. In addition, the name indicates happiness, working hard for goals, and being proactive.
